TIME-SAVING BEAD TIPS:

Work on a level, well-lit surface.

Work over a large, shallow tray, and/or white towel to keep the beads from straying.

Keep a clean, damp sponge handy so you can moisten your fingers, making it easier to pick up beads.

If you accidentally spill beads, gather them using one of the following methods:
1. Vacuum them up with a clean, bagless hand vacuum. Empty the vacuum over a large shallow tray or white towel.
2. Sweep or gather the beads into a pile. Lift up the beads using the sticky side of a large piece of masking tape. Be sure to vacuum your entire crafting area to remove any stray beads, which pose a choking hazard to children and pets.

This makes a 26" necklace.

Mark the beading wire with the black marker as follows:

  •  Center point
  •  2" from each side of center point
  •  2" from each end

Thread one end of the wire through one crimp bead, one side of the clasp, and back through the crimp bead. Position the crimp bead over the marked area, then flatten it with the pliers.
Note: Thread the short end of the wire through a few beads. Trim the excess wire close to a bead.

Thread the beads on the wire as follows:

  •  A. Silver-lined amethyst seed, dark amethyst seed. Continue the sequence, using approx. 107 of each seed bead. Stop 1/4" from the next mark.
  •  B. Faceted oval amethyst, and then continue sequence A, using approx. 30 of each seed bead. Stop 1/4" from the next mark.
  •  C. Repeat sequence B. Then, thread the wire back up through the first faceted oval amethyst (see Figure a).
  •  D. Repeat sequence A.

Repeat step 2 to finish the necklace.

Bracelet

This makes a 7" bracelet.

Mark the beading wire with the black marker as follows:

  •  Center point
  •  2" from each end
  •  Halfway between each end and center point

Thread one end of the wire through one crimp bead, one side of the clasp, and back through the crimp bead. Position the crimp bead over the marked area, then flatten it with pliers.
Note: Thread the short end of the wire through a few beads. Trim the excess wire close to a bead.

Thread the beads on the beading wire as follows:

  •  A. Amethyst tube, silver-lined amethyst seed, dark amethyst seed, silver-lined amethyst seed. Continue alternating the seed beads, using approx. 12 of each one. Stop 1/4" from the next mark.
  •  B. Repeat sequence A.
  •  C. Faceted oval amethyst, alternate seed beads (12 of each one), amethyst tube.
  •  D. Reverse sequence A.

Repeat step 2 to finish the bracelet

Earrings

This makes a pair of earrings.

Place one bead on the head pin.
