Formats and Applications:

• Quark XPress®
• Adobe Photoshop ®
• Adobe Illustrator® EPS or TIFF files
Please provide fonts for all files other than TIFF.

• Microsoft® files are unacceptable.

Specifics:
• Resolution: 300 d.p.i. or higher
• Line Screen: 150 l.p.i.
• Colors: CMYK
• Acceptable Media: CD, Zip®, e-mail. FTP information is available upon request.

Instructions on Mailing or E-mailing an Ad:
1) Send only documents created in applications noted above.
2) Collect all documents, photos and artwork, fonts, support files in a separate folder.
3) Label disk with advertising company name, size of ad, and issue (if mailing) so disk can be easily identified and returned.
4) Include company name, ad size, and issue (if e-mailing).
5) If e-mailing an ad, please use a compression tool such as Stuff It or Zip It to compress your folder.

Submit an industry standard color proof (Epson®, Fuji®, DuPont®) for all color ads and black & white laser proof for all black & white ads. Please mail color proof if ad is being mailed. Without such a proof we cannot be held accountable for any errors.

If you do not have an ad already prepared, we offer a complete range of services for black-and-white, 4-color and web banner advertisements. These services include design, typesetting, photography and imaging services. We would be happy to design and produce an ad for you; please call your advertising representative for a specific quote.

MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Publication trim size: 7-7/8" x 10-7/8" perfect-bound. Ad dimensions may not exceed those stipulated below. On full-page bleed ads, please keep all copy 1/4" from the edge of the page. Web offset printing. Recommend 133-line screen for black, 2- and 4-color. Negatives should be right reading, emulsion down. Minimum 20% screen required on b/w camera-ready ads.
