Corrections

In “More Impact with Less Metal” (April 2009), the main stone in Patrick Murphy’s necklace was misidentified as Picasso jasper — a common name in the trade for the stone. However, the material is metamorphic limestone and more accurately a marble. It is usually called Picasso stone or Picasso marble.

In Ask the Experts (April 2009), the wrong location was given for the William Holland School of Lapidary Arts. The school is in Young Harris, Georgia.
