Technique: Wire and Beads
Description: Students will be able to choose from a selection of Shannon Stevens' beautiful lampwork beads and then will learn to design a wire wrapped pendant using sterling silver wire and findings. Skills of coiling, spiraling, and hammering will be covered as well as properties of wire and design.
Prerequisite: Basic wire wrapping skills of coiling and spiraling.
Materials Included in Required Kit: Choice of Lampwork Beads, sterling wire, beads, bead caps, cones, Swarovski crystal
Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: 14-15 G Mandrel for coiling, round nose pliers, long round nose pliers, flat nose pliers, chain nose pliers, flush cutters, chasing hammer, steel bench block w/pad, metal file, emory board, measuring tape, pen for note taking, coiling aids if you wish.
