Description: Learn how to make a fun wire doodle bracelet! In class, you will receive step-by-step instructions on how to create the featured wire doodles plus 2 bonus doodles in order to accommodate a variety of wrist sizes. The techniques learned in class can be used to create wire doodles for bracelets and much more!
Prerequisite: Basic wirework skills.
Materials Included in Required Kit: Practice wire and printed handouts
Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: Required: Wire Winder manufactured by Ray Grossman, two C-clamps (2 1/2x 1 3/8), 12g mandrel, mandrel support piece, leather finger and thumb guards or leather gloves, long round nose pliers (jaw approx. 1-7/16), chain nose pliers with smooth jaws (2 pairs of super-fine recommended), nylon jaw pliers with spring, wire cutters rated for 14g wire (super or ultra flush recommended), 1’ of 14g and 12’ of 16g and 10’ of 18g round dead soft sterling silver wire or copper wire, twenty-four 16g 4.5mm jump rings and six 14g 6.0mm sterling silver or copper jump rings, 2000 grit automotive sandpaper, ball peen hammer (4 oz. recommended), steel bench block, plastic or nylon head mallet, soft tape measure, felt tip permanent marker, and a work mat. Optional: Short round nose pliers, work light, extension cord, and magnifier. Note: For your convenience, materials can be purchased from the instructor at www.debradanyi.com. Online Class registration has closed. You can register for this class in-person in the Class Registration area of Bead Fest Philadelphia. Registration for each class section closes 15 minutes before the class begins.
