Technique: Wire and Metal
Description: Using basic low tech Repousse and chasing techniques, move metal to create three dimensional leaves. Add a few pods made using basketweave and stuffed with your favorite gems & pearls.
Cascade the leaves and pods down an artful vine for an unforgettable pendant.Materials Included in Required Kit: Sheet metal for leaves and wire for pods and vine.
Accent pearls and pearl, shell, bead mix for pods, headpins and jumprings.Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: Sand bag or Pounding pad, Fretz Precisionsmith hammers (large embossing and narrow raising), Pliers (Long round nose pliers, Round nose pliers, Chain nose pliers, and Flat nose pliers), Flush cutters, Tiny dapping punch, salon board, alcohol pads (i will have these), 1.25 mm holepunch, and 1.80 holepunch.
I will be bringing a couple of each of these tools to share in class. If you do not have something, do not worry, you will be taken care of.
As far as the Fretz hammers go, I will have them for purchase if you are interested after using them after class.You can find supplies online through dealers listed Beading Daily Directory.
