Technique: Bead Stitching

Description: Stretch your beading imagination by combining a variety of beads for a textured Ndebele weave, and then up the ante by popping in complementary focal beads in a random fashion. A wild new ride and a fabulous way to showcase your collector accent beads, vintage stash or favourite lampwork.

Prerequisite: Must know tubular Ndebele/herringbone stitch.

Materials Included in Required Kit: Round seed beads sizes 6/0 and 11/0, one dozen accent beads, slider clasp.

Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: #12-13 beading needles, beading mat, Fireline 6lb. test (children's Fiskars or melting tool to cut Fireline recommended) or Nymo D and scissors, magnifiers, task lamp, extension cord, small flatnose pliers (optional).
