Technique: Wire and Beads
Description: Learn the herringbone wrapping technique, and how to make hoop earrings that will always be in style. Whether big or small, these deceptively easy earrings allow you to showcase your favorite beads and gemstones.
Students must bring these REQUIRED MATERIALS to class: 14 inches of 20 ga half hard wire, 10 feet of 26 ga dead soft wire, 12-14 3mm metal beads, 14-16 any shape, center drilled beads between 3-12 mm with holes large enough for 20 ga wire. Round nose and chain nose pliers. Wire flush cutters and a metal file. Round mandrel to shape your hoops.
